Sini Saavala is a Finnish designer based in Helsinki, Finland. Her work has been featured and embraced in magazines such as i-D Italy, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Italia, INFRINGE, and her garments have been worn by several Finnish celebrities and artists.
The collection "Unwearable" is made by re-constructing upcycled materials and stained clothing, such as sweat-stained white t-shirts, discolored white underwear, and period-stained black underwear. By highlighting the discolored clothes the collection celebrates the everyday stain creating something sensual and powerful out of something which is typically seen as ugly and stigmatic.
